GROWN, PICKED, PRESSED

Planted in the early 1900’s, our heirloom pears, grown in the Upper Wenatchee Valley near Leavenworth, are harvested, juiced, fermented to dryness and aged in the orchards they grew in.

BEST NEW CIDERY

The Pears used at Independent Cider come from Remley Orchards. These family orchards in Dryden and the surrounding area, have been farmed and harvested for five generations beginning in the early 1900’s. 

Our modern Perry is made from 100% estate grown pear. After harvest, our pears are stored and ready for juicing. Controlled atmosphere storage allows us to to process whole pears, never substituting for other ingredients, even during the off-season.

Slowly fermented to dryness, we harnesses the delicate flavors of the Pear. Seeking to find the balance of a crisp chilled pear and  the quintessential sweet juiciness of tree ripened fruit.

Crisp & fruity, blackberries add fruit forward notes to the backdrop of a Anjou pear.

PEARS D'ANJOU

PERCEIVED SWEETNESS DRY

Blackberries are co-fermented with our fresh pressed D’Anjou pear juice for this dry-style Perry. With bright acidity and a clean finish, this light ruby colored Perry harnesses the character of the blackberry.

SNO GEM DRY

Approachable, refreshingly dry and clean, slightly tangy and notes of citrus.

PEARS D'ANJOU

PERCEIVED SWEETNESS DRY

Sno Gem Pears was the original crate label used in the 1950's to brand, market and promote pears from our orchard. The Sno Gem label is still used today to recognize pears from our orchards. In homage to its heritage, our flagship Perry is Sno Gem.

LAVENDER PERRY

Floral aromatics of rose and honey followed by a clean herbaceous pallet of eucalyptus and pear.

PEARS D'ANJOU

PERCEIVED SWEETNESS SEMI DRY

Two varieties of Lavender harvested down valley from our pear orchards were used to create our first botanical Perry. The blended buds from this mid-summer flower are dried and steeped to contribute subtle lavender notes and flavors.

SEMI DRY BARTLETT

Medium bodied Perry showcases the Bartletts ripe pear flavors with notes of pear blossoms and vanilla.

The Bartlett pear, known for its signature sweet and aromatic flavor, is at the forefront of harvest season and the first pear available for our estate Perry.

Notes of stone fruit and rose are backed on a body of light oak with an uplifting finish. 

PEARS D'ANJOU

PERCEIVED SWEETNESS DRY

Fresh pressed Viognier grape skins were

co-fermented with estate D’Anjou Pears to create a melange of vinifera and pome fruit. Aged for eight months in neutral French and American oak barrels this Perry is complex and rich in character. A collaboration with Nefarious Cellars. 40 Cases produced.

DRAFT ONLY PERRIES

Limited by nature, these are often a first attempt 

at creating something truly unique with our Pears.
